Here is the last human ship for awhile, time to start on the alien craft! Had a lot of fun with the external work arms and things will probably go through a few rounds of color changes.
Recreating my scout vehicle in "Besiege"
I've been lucky enough to find some time to try out Besiege - a game that takes my love of LEGO and Minecraft most of the way home. Having seen the incredible stuff others have made I know I don't have time to swing for the fences, but I did have an hour yesterday to try recreating this vehicle I did in-engine! The roundness and size of the fuselage is a bit rougher than I would have liked but the rest of it works out and the thing moves and functions!
Scrap Station Sigma - Human Troop Transport
Another ship map for Scrap Station Sigma - This time in the form of a labyrinthine "Troop Transport".
Scrap Station Sigma - Stages 1 through 3
I've been doing more work on Scrap Station Sigma and have just polished up the first major draft of the player's station. Final judgement will be reserved for later builds but currently this is where the player defends themselves from invasion.
Throughout the game players can upgrade their station 2 times to unlock additional crafting tech and perks in the form of "wings" in stage 2 and 3.
Sketches - Feb 11th 2015
Throwing in some details of the thruster wings and trying out a 6 wing configuration.
Sketches - Feb 10th 2015
More ideas for the spaceship / fighter rework I am playing around with... The two major features I want to incorporate are movable fins for thrust vectoring, and stacked missiles.
Sketches - Feb 6th 2015
I had a few ideas kicking around including an old spaceship design I wanted to revisit... which inevitably transitioned into all sorts of fun weapons. This is the cross I bear.
Suicide scorpion sketches
I've been sitting on this concept for awhile now but finally spent a few minutes today making them a bit more presentable. These were done for a mobile game but were cut mainly due to their prohibitive poly counts and rigging needs for the older hardware we were targeting.
All in all I just loved the idea of this poor guy - just wanting to sting somebody - ultimately ending his own life in the process.
Scrap Station Sigma is on Greenlight!
The game I've been helping on for the past month now has a Steam Greenlight campaign up. I will be posting more work in the future as Scrap Station Sigma continues through development but here are 3 human ships for starters.
The humans are just one of 4 races and have a thing for garish colors and chunky bulkheads.
To watch a snippet of pre-alpha gameplay and the greenlight itself check out http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=377660877 for more info!
Gamers for Good - KKG Artbook
I don't often if ever do fanart - and im not sure why, but the Gamers for Good KKG Art Book was a really good exception to this unofficial rule.
There is quite a lot I would like to change and fix here - composition has never really been my strong suit but the experience was humbling, and it was superb being a part of a larger community creating art for somebody who touched so many lives.
A bit of what i've been working on...
I've taken a break from game assets to work on Scrap Station Sigma's logo in preparation for a Steam Greenlight submission. More info will be heralded in by the launch of the campaign!
